Form 1 Mathematics

Biography: Kerwin Springer, Director of The Student Hub, empowers students through his 150K + follower YouTube channel. Educated at La Horquetta North, St. Mary's Anglican, and Presentation College, he developed a passion for music, art, and video editing early on.

 As an educator, he has taught Biology, Chemistry, IT, and Mathematics, reaching millions online. Starting his teaching career with free lessons in Trinidad, he holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has taught at three secondary schools while authoring educational resources like The Question Bank and SBA Bank for CSEC Maths.

Form 2 Mathematics

Biography : I have been with The Student Hub since 2020 (Fun fact: I am The Student Hub’s first employee!) My very first role at the company was being Mr. Kerwin Springer’s CSEC Mathematics Head Tutor. This meant that I held several roles including:

• marking students’ homework and providing meaningful feedback

• creating excellent class notes and

• overseeing the classroom to ensure that things were running

smoothly.

All the while, I had the opportunity to learn from Mr. Springer himself in terms of how to effectively teach the subject most students hate...Mathematics (shivers).

I have also contributed towards some of The Student Hub’s popular titles: The CSEC Mathematics SBA Bank and The CSEC Mathematics Question Bank

Overall, I am very excited at the opportunity to make Mathematics easier for students so that it is no longer something that they can dread.

My goal is to present Mathematics in an easy, encouraging and understanding way and break down any barriers that students may have with regards to learning the subject.

Form 3 Mathematics

Biography : I hold a master’s degree in Mathematics with distinction from the University of the West Indies, where I was awarded the highest overall examination average in core and elective courses in the MSc Mathematics program. During my undergraduate studies, I also received awards for the best performance in Year 2 and Year 3 of the BSc Mathematics program.

For nine years, I worked as a Mathematics tutor at the university while also providing private tutoring in lower school Mathematics, as well as CSEC Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. I later transitioned fully into secondary school education and currently serve as a Teacher’s Aide at Hillview College, in addition to teaching lessons.

My preferred field of Mathematics is Algebra, and I firmly believe that a strong foundation is the key to success in the subject.

Form 2 Mathematics

Biography: I am an experienced and motivated educator specializing in Mathematics. With two decades of experience, my career began as a Remedial Mathematics Instructor, and I currently serve as a Secondary School Teacher III. I graduated from the University of the West Indies with a BA in Mathematics and a minor in Theatre Arts, earning first-class honours, and I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.

My dedication extends beyond delivering carefully planned lessons to my students. I am deeply committed to helping students develop their mathematical aptitude and reach their full potential. Believing in a holistic approach, I strive to create an environment that fosters the best learning experience possible, inspiring my students to excel in Mathematics.

Form 3 Mathematics

Biography : I started teaching at The Student Hub in September 2021 with CAPE Applied Mathematics Unit 1. Now, in addition to teaching Applied Mathematics Unit 1, I also teach Form 3 Mathematics.

 During my secondary school years at St. Joseph Convent, Port of Spain, I achieved all ones in CSEC Additional Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, French, English A, and English B. I then went on to complete both CAPE Units, where I earned ones in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Caribbean Studies, and Communication Studies. I am currently studying Civil with Environmental Engineering at UWI, St. Augustine.

Forms 1- 3 English A

Biography: I have been an English Teacher for the past seven years. During this time, I have had the privilege of teaching both at the Secondary and Primary school level.

Currently, I teach Std.4, Std.5, Form 1 and Lower School English at Student Hub.

I have completed my tertiary education at the university of the West Indies with a B.A. Communication Studies with a Minor in Speech and Language Pathology. I have a passion for learning new skills, travelling and music. I look forward to being your teacher. See you in class!!
