Caribbean Studies

Biography : I graduated with a BA in History and Geography in 2013 from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine (UWI). I started my MPhil in Geography in 2013, but due to COVID-19 challenges, I was unable to complete this Postgraduate Degree. In 2021, I began another postgraduate degree, this time in History. In 2024, I was accepted into the Diploma in Education Programme (DipEd), a government-sponsored postgraduate programme aimed at improving the skills of teachers. I am expected to graduate from this programme in December 2024.

I have been a teacher since 2013, having taught at various levels of academia, both at the tertiary and secondary levels. From 2013 to 2018, I served as a Teaching Assistant at the Geography Department of UWI. I have also been actively engaged as a secondary school teacher in various capacities and roles. Additionally, I have served as a Marker for Caribbean Examinations Council (CSEC and CAPE) and the Ministry of Education (NCSE).

My wealth of experience and knowledge in both History and Geography makes me the ideal person to entrust with your student’s educational career in History and Caribbean Studies at Student Hub.

Communication Studies

Biography: I am a dedicated researcher with a Bachelor of Arts in Literatures in English and a Minor in Communication Studies. With a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and effective communication, I possess a deep appreciation for diverse literary traditions and the power of language. My expertise spans various genres, cultural narratives, and rhetorical strategies, equipping them with the skills to engage in insightful discussions and articulate complex ideas with clarity. Passionate about storytelling, media, and discourse, I am committed to exploring the intersection of literature and communication in both academic and professional settings.

I am a passionate Communication Studies teacher dedicated to helping students develop critical thinking, analytical, and effective communication skills. With a strong background in language, media, and rhetoric, I specialize in teaching students how to express themselves clearly and persuasively across various contexts. My expertise includes interpersonal communication, public speaking, argumentation, and media literacy, equipping students with the tools to navigate and analyse the evolving landscape of communication and its application to real life communication contexts. I am committed to fostering an engaging and dynamic learning environment, I endeavour to  empower students to become confident communicators and critical thinkers in both academic and real-world settings.
