Unit 1 & 2
Biography : I am a chemist by profession and am currently completing my PhD in Chemistry at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. At the CAPE level, I was a National Scholarship awardee, and I hold an honors BSc. in Chemistry. During my undergraduate years, I earned a spot on the Dean’s Honor Roll.
Throughout my tenure as a PhD candidate, I have attended several international conferences in the field, participated in summer programs, and worked at a National US lab for some time. At UWI, I teach undergraduate laboratory sessions where I guide students in conducting experiments while helping them develop essential laboratory and critical thinking skills, ultimately improving their research capabilities. I have also taught N1 Chemistry labs, which are the equivalent of CAPE Chemistry.
I have been with Student Hub since its inception in 2020, and prior to that, I taught both CSEC and CAPE Chemistry privately. I am also a registered teacher with the Ministry of Education, assessed as a Teacher III.
Chemistry is often perceived as a challenging subject, but I strive to make it fun and understandable. I aim to break down complex concepts into simple, digestible parts to ensure all students grasp the material. My classes at The Student Hub have been extremely successful, with a 100% pass rate and students consistently achieving grade ones and twos. I provide past papers, solutions, syllabus materials, and notes to support my students' learning.
